Product Description

CD85060 Otello-Opera Komische 1962

This performance of Otello is a rare offering that I just received in a trade. It was recorded in house and ripped at 320 kb with cue sheets. The full cast listing is included as a pdf file once teh link is unzipped. Use 7 zip or similiar to unlock teh file. The person that recorded it was the same person that recorded in house most of my MET in Atlanta performances. He managed to carry his recording equipment through to East Germany and asked Kurt Masur the conductor for permission to record the opera. This perfomance IS in stereo and amazing feat for 1962. My question to the group is as follows: Does anyone know who sang Desdemona ? I have no access to the Komische archives and no record of this performance ever appearing on this list or anyplace else. I encourage you all to download it for yourself.

Important Information!!!
USA Telephone (404) 200-4776 We sell only opera recordings. The recordings are sent to you in paper sleeves with no tray card or inserts, just the raw discs with printed labels. These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
