Product Description

CD84440 Nabucco Verona 1994 Bruson/Omilian/Giaiotti

"Nabucco" in the Arena di Verona is legendary for many reasons, and recordings abound. This one is an audience recording from 1994 made by a friend. Considering the difficulties for the recordist at this venue, it's not bad, though one could hardly call it hi-fi! Renato Bruson must have sing this in almost every theatre in the world and gives it 100% as usual. Giaiotti is an "experienced" Zaccaria, but I don't know much about the Abigaille, Jolanta Omilian. An otherwise unknown-to-me tenor Gilberto Maffezzoni, is Ismaele.

Best wishes Roger D Bell Lancashire Englan

These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only.
