Europa Galante

Conductor: Fabio Biondi

For "Berger" and with thanks to Edu.

There were several "Agrippina"s in the fall of '09 and two have already been uploaded to the group, including one conducted by Biondi from Venice. However, this performance is with his own original instrument orchestra Europa Galante, rather than the orchestra of the Fenice opera house. It also features a different Claudio, Nerone (this time a mezzo) and Poppea than the earlier broadcast. In common with the Venice and Madrid performances is Ann Hallenberg's towering portrayal of the title role, one equal to my other two favorite Agrippinas: Felicity Palmer and Anna Caterina Antonacci.
