Product Description

CD87643 Fliegende Holländer - Seattle 11.8.2007

here's "Der fliegende Holländer" from Seattle. It's a recording from a webstream. I do not know the original bitrate, but it was certainly lower than the 256 kbps you will see at the files now. I didn't choose that to make you believe the recording is better than it was, but actually this is the normal bitrate I was working with at the time I transferred and uploaded this and simply forgot to change it before. I guess the original bitrate was 64 or 128 kbps. The > quality, at least, is very acceptable. > > Note that there was a short drop out of the stream during the > overture. > > Also included in the upload you find an interview with the singer of > the title role, Greer Grimsley. > > Richard Wagner > DER FLIEGENDE HOLLÄNDER > Seattle, Aug. 11. 2007 > > Holländer - Greer Grimsley > Daland - Daniel Sumegi > Senta - Jane Eaglen > Erik - Jay Hunter Morris > Steuermann - Jason Collins > Mary - Luretta Bybee > > Conductor: Asher Fisch

The product you receive will be better quality than what you see and hear below.

Important Information!!!
USA Telephone (404) 200-4776 We sell only opera recordings. The recordings are sent to you in paper sleeves with no tray card or inserts, just the raw discs with printed labels. These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
