Product Description

CD83687 Brahms PC2 with Brendel, BPO Abbado at the Proms 199 This is a marvellous performance and a great occasion. There was a packed hall for the debut of Claudio Abbado and the Berlin Philharmoniker at the Proms. I found this on an unmarked tape in the attic, and completely forgot that I had recorded it.

Enjoy! Alvaro

Johannes Brahms Piano Concerto No 2 in B flat major

Alfred Brendel (piano) Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Conducted by Claudio Abbado

Promenade Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, 26 August 1991

Recorded live from BBC Radio 3 on audio cassette, transferred to MP3 at 320 kbps 44Mhz. There is a slight tape flutter for a few seconds after around a minute, but otherwise it is in superb stereo sound, with concluding BBC commentary that I put in a separate file. UnRar the file to get the four movements and the applause/credits.
