Product Description

CD92437 Belcea Quartet - Beethoven - Wigmore Hall 10/2011

The first concert of the Beethoven cycle which will run until June. I hope, the other 5 concerts will given on broadcast too!

Quartet D Major op. 18/3 Quartet E Flat Major op. 74 "Harp Quartet" Quartet B Major op. 130

op. 130 was given this time with the later composed "lighter" final movement. The version with the Große Fuge will end the last concert in June.

Unfortunately for problems of time the broadcast was finished very fast so no encore as the day before at Hamburg where they did a movement from a quartet by Thomas Adés.

Belcea Quartet Corina Belcea & Axel Schacher, violin Krzysztof Chorzelski, viola Antoine Lederlin, cello

Wigmore Hall 3 October 2011

Recorded from BBC HD player (320 kbps) as wav, so versions in Flac and Mp3.

Important Information!!!
USA Telephone (404) 200-4776 We sell only opera recordings. The recordings are sent to you in paper sleeves with no tray card or inserts, just the raw discs with printed labels. These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
