Product Description

CD87761 Another Suzuki - Buxtehude - Bach Collegium Japan conce

Here's another concert by Bach Collegium Japan and Masaaki Suzuki of choral music by Buxtehude, interspersed with organ music by the same composer along with Scheidemann and Böhm.

It was broadcast by NDR, Saturday 5 March 2011 in their regular Glocken und Chor programme. I've included the bell-ringing in the zip files. Always evocative.

The concert was given 22 August 2010 in connection with Musikfestes Bremen at St. Nicolaikirche in Cuxhaven-Altenbruch. The organ was built by Klapmeyer (among many others)
