CD87238 5 duets with Gitta Alpar and Herbert Ernst Groh

I'm uploading (in their original dirty 78 rmp sound) five duets with Herbert Ernst Groh and Gitta Alpar that I extracted from Youtube. They were originally recorded around 1930. The ones I've uploaded are the following:

1. Finale to act 1 of Die Bajadere (Kalman) 2. Es lockt die Nacht from Die Dubarry (Milloecker - Mackeben) 3. Ich denk' zurueck from Die Dubarry (Milloecker - Mackeben) 4. Lieber Freund from Der Graf von Luxemburg (Lehar) 5. Es traemt Venezia (from a musical film)

These seem not to have been reuissed on CD (at least modern CDs are not the source of these versions).

Two other duets that are currently on CD are Bist du mir treu from Abraham's Ball im Savoy and a German-language Parigi, o cara from La Traviata.

I'm hoping some members have more duets between these two that can be shared on OperaShare. If you know of others that have been published and can't be shared, I'd like to hear about that too.

Thanks,

Jim

USA Telephone (404) 200-4776 We sell only opera recordings. The recordings are sent to you in paper sleeves with no tray card or inserts, just the raw discs with printed labels. These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
