There has been a request for Milhaud's Maximilien, but to get to it involved searching through items acquired a long time ago and has revealed some interesting recordings. This is the first.

Milhaud, Saint-Louis Op 434 Opéra-oratorio in 2 parts Poem, Paul Claudel, libretto Henri Doublier In spite of having been commissioned by the French Minister of Culture, French radio refused to perform it. The first concert performance was on 18 March 1972 RAI Rome. It was first staged in Rio opera house, 14 April 1972.
