Product Description

CD83877 Beno Blachut, half of Schubert's Schoene Muellerin in Czech

This will be mainly for those with a special admiradtion for Czech tenor Beno Blachut. Czech Radio Vltava last night (16 October 2010) broadcast the first ten songs (of twenty) of Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin in Czech translation. The pianist is Ferdinand Pohlreich.

No information was given about the translator or about whether the second part might also be broadcast later on. And recording no date was given although from some intonational unsteadiness on high notes here and there, I would guess that this came late in his career, maybe in the 1970s
