Yet again I have re-uploaded this recording. I am very hopeful you will download this again in full. The links are to completely new uploaded files, smaller than previously, and therefore more numerous. Re-assembled they will give you exactly what I offered before, divided differently. In 1996 a great friend recorded a wonderful performance of Glinka's " A Life for the Tsar" (AKA "Ivan Susanin") during a visit to the Opera House in Zürich. John Allison in his review in "Opera" [October 1996, p.1229] is very impressed and says Salminen's performance: "..from start to finish confirmed this as one of the great bass roles he sang with sculpted magnificence". Great applause! Recordings of this formative and splendid opera are not common so I hope this very good in-house recording is enjoyed by many.
