Product Description

CD81447 Blumine, Symphony 4 - Schaefer, ONF, Gatti Paris 2010

Gustav Mahler Blumine Symphonie n¬į4 Christine Schaefer, Orchestre National de Radio France, Daniele Gatti Symphony recorded 17 juin 2010, Th√©√Ętre du Ch√Ętelet √ Paris Blumine recorded 19 juin 2010, en la Basilique de Saint-Denis

Ms Schaefer is mistakenly named as "Anne Schaefer" in France Musique's schedule, and two different recording dates and venues are mentioned. In fact, the concert programme was repeated on the 19th of June in Saint-Denis, with Christiane Oelze as soloist, and from the layout of the schedule it is likely that the Blumine movement was recorded at this concert while the symphony was recorded two days earlier.

The lieder which Ms Schaeffer performed were not broadcast; the well-loved Ludwig/Berry recording instead. No reason was given for the substitution.

If anyone can clarify this any further, I'd be curious to hear from them.
