Coming from an old Greek National radio broadcast, these are excerpts from Verdi's Macbeth, performed by an all Greek cast, orchestra and conductor aside. Andreas Kouloumbis is a prominent Greek dramatic baritone, flourishing in the shadow of Kostas Paskalis. Rendering a personal opinion, he was not of the same caliber, though adequate in the role of Macbeth. Ioanna Sfekas Karvelas, an eminent Greek dramatic soprano contributes sufficiently, although her portrayal of Lady Macbeth leaves a lot to be desired. Paul Raptis, having had a noteworthy career as a lyric tenor, is adequate as Macduff
