Here's a live recording of the original Broadway production of Alan Jay Lerner and Burton Lane's ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER, starring Barbara Harris, John Cullum, William Daniels, Clifford David, and Titos Vandis. This was definitely recorded of the squawk box in a dressing room and not through the sound system (though a lot of it sounds like it could be from the sound system). The sound is quite good for this kind of recording.
