Product Description

CD89341 Mahler 9, Klemperer, New Philharmonia

This performance is attributed to Otto Klemperer and the New Philharmonia Orchestra, recorded in August 1968. I don't have information from the original post, which seems to have been lost to the Yahoo archive-destroying machine.

The files are mp3@~192kbps VBR.

best, Matt

PS - Incidentally I can't find anything at all in OS-Google before 2009... unless I browse the messages 10 at a time (there are over 65000). Too bad! It was a great resource while it worked.

(Moderator's Note: I think that this is the information from the original upload of 14 May 2007:

New Philharmonia Orchestra Otto Klemperer (conductor) " )

> It's not coming up in a search, but I believe that a live performance of the Mahler 9th with Klemperer conducting the New Philharmonia was at one time posted on OperaShare. I had it from that download, but lost it in a crash. I'd be most grateful for a re-upload. > > (The Klemperer performances with the VPO and the one with the Jerusalem Radio Orchestra, supplemented with players from the Gadna Symphony do come up in a search, although the latter is misidentified as being with the Israel Symphony.) > > Thank you, > Alan

Important Information!!!
USA Telephone (404) 200-4776 We sell only opera recordings. The recordings are sent to you in paper sleeves with no tray card or inserts, just the raw discs with printed labels. These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
