This inhouse recording was made during the Covent Garden Festival (nothing to do with the Royal Opera House, and alas no longer in existence) at the Church of St.Clement Danes, in the Strand, London, on 31 May 1996. The production was staged by the Opera Theatre Company of Dublin and presented in an English translation. The whole church was the stage, which sometimes resulted in a lot of banging and clattering as the singers rushed about.
