Product Description

CD96486 Dallapicolla: ULISSE, SUITE A - Harding, RAI 2012

Luigi Dallapiccola ULISSE, Suite A (17:24)

Filharmonica della Scala conducted by DANIEL HARDING

La Musica di Rai3 Teatro alla Scala, Milan 10 May 2012

This is extracted from the recent video upload (audio 192 kbps) as a wave file and remastered to bring up the levels considerably. The music is very present. I cannot find any information concerning the identity of the vocal soloists, a soprano and a baritone who have a considerable amount of singing to do. If anyone can identify them it would be welcome. The pre- and post- interview material with Harding has been cut. What I did find on the RAI website is a complete outline and text of the Suite A which follows below. The structure of the Suite A is basically the Prologue and Epilogue of the opera separated by an orchestral intermezzo. I do not know if there is a "Suite B"

Important Information!!!
USA Telephone (404) 200-4776 We sell only opera recordings. The recordings are sent to you in paper sleeves with no tray card or inserts, just the raw discs with printed labels. These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
