A warm Easter wish to all members.
Here is an ORTF recording broadcast by the BBC at Easter in 1989. It is not quite complete. It was made on reel-to-reel tape (relatively very expensive, and for me, in short supply!), then transferred to DAT then to CD. No date of performance was given, nor the identity of Amfortas (!), so if any member could provide these details it would be most appreciated.
The recording (listen to the harps after "öffnet den Schrein") and cast are magnificent, and the recording is especially valuable for the wonderful jugendlich Tenor of Eberhard Büchner in the title role, fabulously secure in all registers.
