Product Description

CD95691 BBC Philharmonic - Juanjo Mena (29 March 2012)

The most interesting item of this concert is of course the symphony that Brian Newbould fleshed out from the fragments left by Schubert. The result is a 35 minute symphony that is one of the `missing links' between the Sixth and the `Unfinished' D759. This recording is of it's world premiere, commissioned by the BBC. Included in the file is the interval-interview with Brian Newbould about this symphony.

FRANZ SCHUBERT Claudine von Villa Bella - Overture, D.239

FRANZ SCHUBERT Salve Regina, D.676

FRANZ SCHUBERT Symphony No.1, D.82.

FRANZ SCHUBERT Symphony in D, D708a (completed by Brian Newbould).

Ruby Hughes, soprano BBC Philharmonic Juanjo Mena, conductor

Recorded: 29 March 2012, MediaCity, Salford BBC HD, MP3, 320 kbps
