Product Description

CD95348 Trovatore hlts -Brunin, Vilma, Poncet, Peyrottes -Marseillle

I have received information from a well-informed member that at this performance in Marseille the role of Azucena was sung by Michele Vilma. Rita Gorr sang in this production only when it was done at the festival in Arles in 1967. I have listened again an am somewhat reluctantly convinced that he is right. So I am reposting this with the correct cast. It remained a compelling performance. Apologies to the Rita Gorr fans out there.

Giuseppe Verdi IL TROVATORE sung in French as "Le Trouvère" (excerpts 62m)

These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
