CD93131 partial Karajan Ring, Salzburg, 1967-70
Hi everyone, Karajan conducted the ring over four years at the Salzburg Easter festival between 1967 and 1970. Broadcasts of these performances were posted back in 2006 but all are now no longer available. I thought to reload the entire ring, but realised I didn't have copies of the 1967 Walkure (message 5424) and the 1968 Rheingold (message 5375), so I have reloaded the 1969 Siegfried and the 1970 Gotterdammerung, featuring really stellar casts for the period, including luxury small part casting (Janowitz as Gutrune, Ludwig as Waltraute, Ligendza as 3rd Norn). If anyone has the first two ring operas mentioned above, I am sure an upload would be appreciated by everyone.
Source: OS files from 2006, but originally from stereo radio broadcasts, uploaded as 160kps stereo same as original files, and the sound is pretty good I think.

The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
