This is an unpublished radio performance, never released in any format.

The Frank Sinatra Show w/L.MELCHIOR 29th march 1944

This show ran through 1944, with different guests each week (including Rise Stevens which I will also upload if there is interest). This episode begins with an opening number by Sinatra and a brief comedy spot, followed by Sinatra singing "Night and Day". Melchior appears about 10 mins into the show .

Sinatra and Melchior do some comedy sparring about opera Melchior sings Vesti La Giubba The pair then engage in a competition "opera vs swing" - where Melchior sings an operatic phrase and Sinatra must sing the same phrase in a contemporary style. Sinatra and Melchior conclude with a duet of Caro Nome from Rigoletto (strange but true). Sinatra sings a final number (and don't miss his financial advice at the end of the show).

Important Information!!!
USA Telephone (404) 200-4776 We sell only opera recordings. The recordings are sent to you in paper sleeves with no tray card or inserts, just the raw discs with printed labels. These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
