CD91265 Pfitzner: Der arme Heinrich with Jean Cox and Maria Slatinar One of the most important German operas from the period between Wagner and Richard Strauss in a recording by the West German Radio. I do not know the year of the recording nor do I remember if I taped the broadcast myself or got it in exchange. Anyway the recording was made on a DAT-tape and later put on two cd's with all the original announcements. I must confess that I had completely forgotten I owned this recording until one of our members asked me to provide an upload. The sound is not completely flawless, but the general impression is very good to excellent, although the recording must be between twenty and thirty years old. I uploaded only a wav-flac file and I prefer to leave it like that, so no mp3-upload please! The opera is presented with introduction, synopsis and cast, all original announcements, and split halfway the second act to provide two cd's (with cue sheets).
