Product Description

CD91013 Wagner Tristan Live Bayreuth 29 July 2011 (ac3/Dolby 5.1)

Dear friends of Wagner,

please find below the links to my upload of the live broadcast of this year's first night of the Bayreuth Tristan und Isolde (29 July 2011).

The music files come in two formats: the original *.ac3 (Dolby Surround 5.1) as recorded (448kbps/48kHz), and a flac conversion of the Dolby files which will be uploaded later and separately (the upload takes ages). The files with interval features and other radio commentary (all in German) are left unchanged for the ac3 upload, but will be converted to mp3 and not to flac for the flac-upload (file size is the problem in this case). These files contain the following:

file bay2011tristan_interval1: 1. Robert Dean Smith (Tristan) interviewed by Franziska Stürz 2. "Sehr bewußt höchste Lust: Wagner, Ludwig II. und der Tristan?", an essay by Johann Jahn 3. „Die Kunst des Übergangs", an essay by Bernhard Neuhoff

file bay2011tristan_interval2: 1. „Einsam wachend in der Nacht: Ist Brangäne eine Nebenrolle oder eine Schlüsselfigur?", an essay by Alexandra Dielitz 2. Arnold Bezuyen (Hirte) interviewed by Michaela Fridrich 3. „Es war ein großes Missverständnis: Zum Dreieck Bülow – Cosima – Wagner", an essay by Anette Unger

Important Information!!!
USA Telephone (404) 200-4776 We sell only opera recordings. The recordings are sent to you in paper sleeves with no tray card or inserts, just the raw discs with printed labels. These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
