Product Description

CD89136 Fabien Sevitzky & ISO - The Capitol recordings (1953)

Another installment in the Midwest Tour today, focusing on the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

Fabien Sevitzky and the ISO made the majority of their records with RCA Victor, with the final sessions for that company in 1946.

In 1953 the ISO made additional recordings, now on tape, for Capitol records. The Capitol recordings, from January 22 & 23, 1953 at the Murat Theatre venue, proved to be the last studio efforts in which the ISO and Sevitzky collaborated. The records were issued in both 10 inch and 12 inch formats, the 12 inch records used for my transfers.

Capitol P-8223, Khachaturian Ballet Suites to Gayne and Masquerade

Capitol P-8209, Enesco's two Roumanian Rhapsodies & Dvorak's op. 46 Slavonic Dances, No.8,2,4 & 1, in that order.

Both zipped files are mono mp3 format, VBR 320/256 kbps. Files include scans of album covers and record labels.

Important Information!!!
USA Telephone (404) 200-4776 We sell only opera recordings. The recordings are sent to you in paper sleeves with no tray card or inserts, just the raw discs with printed labels. These recordings are of nonprofessional quality that are in the public domain. The quality of these old opera recordings is not very good and they are meant for collectors and educational purposes only. Most of them are 30 or 40 years old, so they might be blurry, colors faded, and not sound very good, but they might not be available elsewhere. Please note that most of our recordings do not have tracks, they have 1 long track per disc.
