Product Description

CD88055 Goetz/ Der widerspenstigen Zaehmung/ WDR 1978

In the very early rapidshare.de days of the group I made an upload of this opera. In the meantime the links expired. Some weeks ago there has been a new upload by another member of the group but I noticed that the sound is not the best. So here is again an upload and in a better quality than the last and my former upload.

This is a late romantic masterpiece and everyone who loves opera should know this piece!

And the performance that is really a great one! A conductor who apparently loves the piece and a nearly perfect cast, all German, with clear enunciation and good to great voices and technic. Above all in a good cast Franz Grundheber, years before his international career, is a sensational Petrucchio!

Hermann Goetz
