Product Description

CD87676 Entfuhrung aus dem Serail, Cotrubas, Talvela, Scheier, Maa

I've been absent for a while, doing various things and this is a much belated response to a request to have this reuploaded. Sorry for the wait, person who emailed me. I've got tons of goodies on the way, can I also use this as an opportunity to thank people for the stunning stuff uploaded recently, especially the Pappano items from Italy and the rare Lucia Popp items todays. I'm in heaven.

Also here as bonus, is the reupload of Cotrubas' stint on Desert Island Discs, recorded at the beginning of her career, around 1970. She's hilariously bossy and self assured, but also really quite sweet. It's a terrific item I received from a trade from Australia and is adequately ripped to 128khps.

Hi Everyone,

Thankyou to the person who uploaded the wonderful da capo episode of Cotrubas being interviewed. She spoke wistfully about the cruel Austrian press slagging her Konstanze off. She admitted she was no coloratura person for the role but she wanted to bring out the lyrical side, very suitable for the Traurigkeit aria. I personally think her Konstanze is rather good. Here it is.
