Hi everyone Here is a BBC concert, broadcast on the Third Programme, of Mozart's Zaide. It was a live broadcast of a concert from the Royal Festival Hall, with a good cast. The version I have has been edited to take out all the applause, and the linking narration by Jill Balcon. The original broadcast was 2 hrs, but we only have about one and a half hours, and it cuts off before the end. I am not sufficiently familiar with the opera to know how much music has been lost. Still, I thought it worth posting for what must be one of the earliest recordings of this opera and with Pears in slightly unusual repertoire. Enjoy Tim
