Product Description

CD84462 Boris Godunov Salzburg 1994 Ramey/Larin/Kotscherga/Langridg

The Salzburg Festival in 1994 presented a "Boris Godunov" which sounds a league or three better to my ears than the recent Met offering. Samuel Ramey seems wonderful to me, and there are some very rich voices in support. Philip Langridge and Sergei Larin are no longer with us, and I hope this is a good memorial recording of their talents. Claudio Abbado needs no accolade from me.

Best wishes Roger D Bell Lancashire Englan
