CD82591 Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg - EMI LPS 1956
This wonderful performance of Meistersinger, recorded by EMI in 1956 and released on LP the following year, has been on the top of Meistersinger lists for a long time. The entire cast is inspired under the guiding hand of Rudolf Kempe. The only commercial CD issue I know if is a rather indifferent one issued by EMI quite a while ago so I thought I would go back to the original LPs and transfer them to CD and then to flac for uploading to the group.
