"Tage Alter Musik in Herne 2018: Todsünden – Wollust

Jahrhunderts.

Moderation: Sabine Radermacher Redaktion: Richard Lorber"

"Four people of royal blood meet "in the rural lands of Arabia". A queen and two princes live incognito as shepherds in this exotic Arcadia. Unknown, the brother loves the sister and so unknowingly becomes the rival of his own friend. Mutually, one fakes another love or rejection, hides real feelings, suppresses passion passionately. Alleged differences in rank still torment the lovers when they have finally acknowledged their affection. Violence, quarrels, kidnapping, an old oracle, enigmatic medallions and letters: the intrigue heaps until the utter confusion dissolves and the right couples find each other. The moral of the story means: "Who does not know how to pretend, little understands in matters of love"."
