IOLANTA by TCHAIKOVSKY [excellent sound / radio broadcast]
Iolanta: Irina Lungu (sounded much better in the theatre - no horseness at all -)
Vaudemont: Piotr Beczala (sounded heavenly in the theatre - big waves of silvery sound - a bit strained on the broadcast)
King Rene: Benno Schollum (a complete disgrace both in the theatre and on the broadcast - what on Earth was Fedoseyev thinking when he gave the bass role of King Rene to this baritone!)
